GLOBAL Sources will open its fifth Annual China Sourcing Fair at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, UAE, this month (May 31 and June 2).
It features hundreds of top-choice manufacturers of international-quality consumer electronics, fashion accessories, gifts and premiums, home products, baby and children’s products, and hardware and building materials. The fair is exclusively for importers, traders, and other volume buyers who purchase consumer products for resale to markets throughout the Middle East North Africa (Mena) region.
“Demand for quality, competitively-priced China-made products has never been stronger,” said Bill Janeri, Global Sources’ general manager for the Middle East. “Our China Sourcing Fairs have grown since their launch in Dubai in 2007. At the same time, attendance to the events has also grown, indicating that there continues to be a growing need for competitively made products from China,” he added.
Export-oriented suppliers from mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong will offer a wide variety of competitively-priced hardware and building equipment to global buyers in the region.
The fair presents a wide variety of quality products in the industry such as building materials; general hardware; flooring, ceiling, roofing materials; wall cladding and coverings, windows and doors; bathroom and kitchen supplies; plumbing, heating and cooling supplies; tools and accessories; industrial safety and law enforcement equipment; lawn and garden accessories; and lighting and electrical fixtures and fittings.
China Sourcing Fairs 2010 – which comprised seven co-located events - registered a record visitor attendance of 14,020. Buyers at the three-day show were up 30 per cent, with both mature and emerging markets showing more active order placing activity, due to heightened confidence in the retail market. More than 1,300 stands were put up by 950 exhibitors at the event.
