REDSKY IT is focusing on penetrating the small and medium-sized contracting segment of the regional market for its project costing software.
“We are unique in being able to offer software solutions to the whole construction supply chain and to construction companies of any size,” says Andy Bullen, sales and marketing director, Middle East and Africa of the UK-based software specialist.
RedSky IT has launched a series of ‘software briefings’ throughout the region to promote its offerings. The first of these was held in Abu Dhabi last month, when 23 contracting companies attended a briefing. Further events are scheduled to be held in Dubai, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait later this year.
The briefings introduce contractors to the benefits of adopting ‘integrated project costing software’ that has been developed specifically for the construction industry. They also help gain an insight into the estimating software, sub-contract, inventory and plant management, project monitoring, purchasing and finance including payroll.
RedSky IT, meanwhile, continues to develop new solutions targeted at the facility management companies, the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) markets, which are expected to be launched this year.
The $80 million construction software business, which has offices in the US and in Dubai, provides software and accounting solutions to each part of the industry’s supply chain.
Its Summit software helps manage every process of a project addressing various requirements of customers – from start-up contractors to multi-national consulting engineers – helping them manage the complete financial accounting and operational process.
Summit 1000 is an entry-level financial control solution designed especially for smaller contractors and builders. It offers a pre-configured system installed on its own dedicated hardware resulting in an accounting solution that integrates into the small contractor’s business.
