The Oval Tower ... new project at the Business Bay.

Two leading property developers, D’seco and Damac, have unveiled two architecturally stunning projects at the Business Bay.

The contract for D’seco’s Dh380 million ($103.45 million) commercial building project, called the Oval Tower, has been awarded to Korean construction firm, Pumyang Construction.
Atkins has been selected to provide the architectural design and engineering for the project.
The tower will utilise a sophisticated modern glass finish that is accompanied with a pure white structure.
The unique and elegant oval tower is designed with several utilities and will allow easy access to Sheikh Zayed Road as well as Al Khail Road.
The flexible floor layouts of the building will allow tenants to choose from a number of different configurations to plan. Offices are also designed according to international standards and regulations ensuring a safe and productive business environment, says a spokesman for the developer.
Oval Tower will include a fully equipped gymnasium housing a sauna, shower and locker facilities. The tower’s podium includes easy access to luxury dining, as the dining area will feature a dedicated entrance with a panoramic lift and staircase. In addition to the podium parking, the tower will also feature a basement parking area, designed to provide sufficient parking spaces and smooth traffic flow for both occupants and visitors.
“The exterior and interior design of the building are both very elegant and unique,” says Jae Yul Yoon, chief vice president, D’seco.
Meanwhile, The Corner from Damac Properties will be a 19-storey commercial property, which will feature state-of-the-art office spaces as well as retail and recreational facilities.
“The Corner will represent the wealth of our global expertise and we are determined to offer our valued customers the best facilities the industry has to offer,” says Hussain Sajwani, chairman of Damac Holding.
“For those who enjoy being in the midst of all the action, The Corner is the ideal location,” says Peter Riddoch, CEO, Damac Properties.
The tower will offer swipe access, hi-speed internet, business lounge, reception desk and 24-hr security and security cameras.
