Emirates Building Systems (EBS) – a subsidiary of Dubai Investments Industries, the industry arm of Dubai Investments, and the manufacturer of high quality steel structures – is strengthening its position in Oman following the signing of two major contracts for the supply of structural steel work.

The company has finalised a twin-deal – worth Dh9.5 million ($2.58 million) and Dh5.3 million – with Sohar Aluminium smelter project for the supply of its products.
In addition, the company has also recently completed the fabrication and supply of structural steel work for Muscat City Centre expansion in record time at a cost of Dh13.3 million.
“Currently, our production capacity is over 60,000 tonnes per annum and we are on course to increase this to 75,000 tonnes within the next few months. EBS has the unique capability to provide a combination of hot-rolled and pre-engineered sections in a single design and package,” said Fouad Arwadi, general manager-sales, EBS.
The company also announced the appointment of Al Rawaj International Trading and Contracting as the certified builder in Oman, which will work in close co-ordination with the company’s distributor Cemec Trading and Services to ensure the timely completion of the projects.
