Following the structural completion of the Kempinski Hotel, coming up within Majid Al Futtaim’s Bahrain City Centre project, work is expected to commence soon on the fit-outs of the hotel’s interiors.

Construction on the development began last year, and is scheduled for completion by mid-2008.
According to the developers, Kempinski has grand plans for this hotel, which will include some of the most innovative dining and leisure concepts to be found anywhere in the Gulf.
With interiors designed by Wilson and Associates, which has also worked on the chic Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, the Kempinski Hotel Bahrain City Centre will be in league with some of the world’s trendiest hotels, with 200 luxurious rooms and suites, a fitness centre and a host of dining venues unlike any other on offer in the city. The hotel will also feature an authentic Turkish Hammam, modelled on the successful spas at Kempinski’s three Turkish properties in Belek, Bodrum and Istanbul, says a spokesman for the development.
The second mixed-use leisure and retail development by MAF Group with an integrated Kempinski hotel, Bahrain City Centre was inspired by the success of the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. The 150,000 sq m project will encompass 350 shops, a Carrefour hypermarket and some 54 restaurants and cafés. Set to significantly boost Bahrain’s leisure and entertainment options, the centre will also boast the region’s largest indoor air-conditioned water recreation park, a 20-screen cinema and the Magic Planet.
