Expanding further

Dammam-based Guardian Industries Company – a leading manufacturer of modern security fences and auto access control systems – is looking at further expanding its reach in the Asian markets through expanding its product line.

Towards this end, the company is planning to launch a new product in cooperation with a major specialist in security issues. We are also planning to open a new line to fabricate products that conform to international specifications,” says Fuad Al Saleh, the company’s general manager.
He continues: “Thanks to our extensive experience in the security field, we can offer dedicated security products suited to the region. We are considered to the only company in the world that owns a variety of security barriers, which encouraged us to expand our market penetration to include the Middle East markets as well as those further afield.
“We have also recently entered into a partnership agreement with UK-based Broughton Company, engaged in the same field as well as B&B of the US,” he adds.
Besides security fences and auto access control systems, the company's products also include interlock metal barriers, banisters and metal security gates.
Gaurdian Industries exports its products to Lebanon and Qatar, among other countries and its existing portfolio includes projects such as the Beirut International Airport, Lebanon Electricity Company, the American University of Beirut, Qatar’s Ministry of the Interior and a number of gas companies in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it is a major supplier to Saudi Aramco, Petromin, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Royal Commissions for Jubail and Yanbu, Ministry of Defence and Aviation, the National Guard, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communications, and Saudi Telecom Company.
“Our company also provides spare parts and efficient after-sales services,” says Al Saleh.
With fencing being widely recognised as an efficient and cost-effective means of defining boundaries, clients in both the public and the private sectors regularly specify it on their projects – be they industrial, commercial, residential or special projects such as educational and sport facilities, says a spokesman for the company.
Guardian also designs, manufactures, installs and maintain access control systems, while specialising in road blockers that provide an effective method of securely controlling vehicle access to restricted areas.
Gaurdian Industries is a joint venture company, wholly Saudi owned eith Hamad Al Zamil and Yusuf Kanoo Commercial Group as principal partners.
Started off on a 17,000 sq m lot in the first Industrial Park in Dammam in 1978, Guardian Industries has now expanded to include branches in all the GCC states, in addition to branches in Egypt, Lebanon and Sudan.
Other products in access control in joint venture with Broughton Controls include hydraulic road blockers, shark jaw barriers, boom barriers, speed and sliding gates and turnstiles.
