Work on Oman's largest real estate project, the $15 billion Al Madina Al Zarqa – The Blue City, will start this October.
The project, which is being developed as a completely new city with many luxury hotels for at least 200,000 citizens, is definitively one of the most important and largest urban project in Oman, says a spokesman for the promoter.
‘‘With an area of 35 sq km, Al Madina Al Zarqa – The Blue City is not only Oman’s largest real estate project, but also one of the most interesting projects worldwide,’’ he adds.
Construction will start in parallel with infrastructure, public facilities, four major luxury and ultra luxury hotels and housing units.
Promoted by the Al Sawadi Investment and Tourism Company (ASIT) the Blue City will be much more than just a tourist city and will promote education and health projects.
