AAJ plans $319m Marina West project

A BD120 million ($319 million) project consisting of 11 residential towers will be built to the southwest of Budaiya village in Bahrain.

The Marina West project in the Northern Governorate is being developed by AAJ Holdings Company.
The location of the project on the western coast, near the Saudi causeway, is a boon to people who work in Saudi Eastern Province and whose families live in Bahrain, said a spokesman.
The project, coming up in a total area of 75,000 sq m, will offer 1,200 apartments on a freehold basis.
Out of 11 towers, the main 30-storey tower will be a fully furnished apartment hotel. Six of the residential towers will have 24 floors each and the other four towers will have 18 floors each.
The project would provide a self-contained township for residents with all entertainment and recreational facilities and is claimed to be the first of its kind to be developed on a beach site in Bahrain without relying on reclamation.
It will consist of a canal beach with entertainment facilities and a marina for small boats.
The project complex will have a total of six to seven swimming pools, besides a private swimming pool attached to the penthouses in different towers.
Other facilities include a shopping centre, with restaurants, coffee shops, medical services, nursery, ATM and retail outlets.
