
The Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Piping Company has won an $18 million procurement, fabrication, erection and mechanical completion contract from ABB Lummus Global for a project based in Russia.
The contract includes fabrication of two modules for the Molikpaq tie-in project of the Sakhalin Energy Investment Company (SEIC) that is developing offshore oil and gas fields on the north-eastern shelf of Sakhalin island, said a company spokesman.
Fabrication work has begun and first delivery of the support structures of the modules A and B is scheduled for April 2005.
The modules are scheduled to sail off in March 2006.
The contract involves procurement, fabrication, erection and mechanical completion for module A (gas treatment and utility facilities), module B (oil treatment facilities), modules A and B intra-connecting section, sliding and fixed support structures, platform caisson, modifications and pre-work items required for module support structures installation, hook-up and intra-connecting items and offshore installation aids.
