THE electromechanical works (EMW) contracting division of Juma Al Majid Group of Companies – a one-stop solution for complete building services – is cashing on the boom in construction industry by working simultaneously on numerous government and private sector projects, including the upcoming Al Manara Tower.

At the Al Manara Towers, the EMW division of Juma Al Majid is providing a whole range of services including: complete air conditioning and ventilation systems; centralised toilet and kitchen extract systems; heat recovery from extract air; electrostatic kitchen extract purification; water supply; drainage; MATV and CCTV system; central battery system; lightning protection; emergency generators; and fire protection and alarm systems, says a company spokesman.
Established in 1971, the EMW division of Juma Al Majid has over three decades of proven track record in providing building services including heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing (drainage and water supply), electrical (lighting, power and the wider range of low current systems) and fire protection systems, he adds.
This division has carried out numerous electromechanical projects for the private and governmental projects, including private residential/commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, hotels and military installations.
Through its branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Fujairah, EMW is providing building services for various reputed clients including Dubai Islamic Bank, Emaar, and DAMAC, among others.
The ISO9002-certified division tries to ensure quality in services and operates an in-house sheet metal fabrication workshop that is equipped with the latest in automated sheet-metal fabrication, fully-computerised CNC machines, autofold machines and plasma cutting machines.
“An uncompromising attention to details and the constant development of labour expertise have contributed to lifting the industry safety standards in the division,” the spokesman adds.
The contracting division is capable of carrying out all the MEP (mechanical electrical and plumbing) projects with its own resources and skills and is proud of its technical and skilled labour force, which includes qualified and experienced engineers, foremen and skilled and semi-skilled workers, says the spokesman.
Its staff receive frequent training to upgrade their skills to ensure a high level of professionalism and competence and keep abreast of the latest technological developments, he adds.
