Eurocon Building Industries, based in Ajman Free Zone, says its participation in the Big 5 show was a resounding success.

The products on display were Alubond (USA), aluminium composite panels; Synair US, casting rubbers for GRC, plaster of paris and form liners; Euro Mouldings, polyurethane mouldings for interior and exterior use; Euro Slates, natural stone slates for walls and flooring; as well as Australian-

French firm Boral's range of plasterboard products. The exhibition generated over 500 potential leads and gave an exposure to Eurocon's full range of products.

"Confirmed orders for Eurocon's range was for over Dh2 million ($545,000) during the five days of exhibition justifying our decision to participate in this mega event and if even 10 per cent of the 500 leads turn into orders, then we are looking at potential business of over Dh20 million," says Shaji Ul Mulk, managing director with Eurocon Building Industries.

Another success achieved by the company during the show was the award presented by Boral Middle East for its sales performance as among the outstanding top three distributors in the UAE for Boral's products. Oliver Chaudet, regional manager with Boral Middle East, and Amer bin Ahmed, sales and marketing manager Boral Middle East, presented the award.

The company was also successful in appointing distributors for various cities in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Turkey and Syria for its Alubond composite panels.
