Dubai-based Sultan Marble was involved with some of the marble and granite works at the Mazaya Centre.

"We did some of the counters, cladding and floor fixings in the main corridor, columns, some shops and entrances," says Sultan Hareb, managing director.

Established in 1995, the company is involved with supply, installation, processing, carving and engraving of marble and granites. The company offers high-quality marble and granite sourced from some of the world's leading producers in Italy, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, says Hareb.

"We offer quality products, known for their beauty, endurance and texture, available in a wide range of designs and form, from classic to modern and antique to contemporary, coupled with a range of colour combinations.

"We also recognise the advances made in modern architecture and have kept up with the pace, introducing better services and quality," he says.

Its factory, located in Al Quoz and spread over 4,500 sq m area, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for marble service including cutting, drilling, grinding, milling, sinking, writing, drawing and finishing. Its set up is fully computised with everything from shop drawing to cutting lists done on computers. It has a total workforce of 106 which includes skilled cutters and polishers.

Its staff also assists in selecting appropriate designs to suit individual requirements including panels, borders, counters, columns, interior decoration, inlaid work and furniture stairways.

The company has been involved with a number of hotels and resorts; shopping malls; palaces, residential and commercial buildings, showrooms, villas and high-rise buildings. Hareb attributes the company's success to the quality of its products and timely delivery.

Some of the projects the company has completed in the UAE include the Al Bustan Centre, a military camp at Al Dhaid, American University of Sharjah, Le Meridien Jumeirah Beach, the 30-storey Klinter Tower on Shaikh Zayed Road, Hyatt Regency, Royal Mirage Hotel and Gulf Towers.

Its ongoing projects include the Hilton Beach Hotel and Park Plaza Hotel.
