Inma, a pioneer of the tower crane sector in the UAE, has supplied tower cranes and concrete equipment to the Mazaya Centre project.
The firm became the first company to stock and sell tower cranes - both self-erecting and top slewing cranes - in the UAE in 1973, says a company spokesman.
Established in 1972, Inma has been dealing with various material handling/lifting equipment such as Liebherr tower cranes, Alimak hoists, Boss forklifts and Haulotte access platforms, amongst other plant and machinery,
"By successfully introducing the famous Linden crane during the seventies, Inma was setting standards for the region," a company spokesman says.
In 1974, Port Rashid was supplied with the first consignment of Boss forklifts, followed later by several container handlers for Dubai Ports Authority.
Some of the prominent UAE projects in which Inma has been recently involved include: Burj Al Arab (Alimak); Emirates Tower (Alimak); Twin Towers at Dubai Creek (Liebherr and Alimak); National Bank of Dubai headquarters (Liebherr and Alimak); Baynunah Hilton (Alimak and Liebherr); LPG/LNG tanks at Ruwais (Liebherr and Alimak); Dubai Ports Authority (Boss) and Khor Fakkan Ports Authority (Boss).
''Throughout the years, safety has always been the top priority and is not compromised,'' the spokesman says. ''This policy is appreciated by all major contractors.''
Over the past few years, Inma has been operating a fleet of tower cranes and hoists on a rental basis.
All the equipment within the rental fleet is young and up to date in terms of technical developments, he points out. The fleet is also available on rent to projects in the neighbouring Gulf countries.
Inma also represents Atlas Copco (compressed air equipment), Flygt (submersible pumps), Dynapac (compaction equipment), Svedala (crushers) and Stetter (concrete plants).
Sales outlets and spare parts centres are located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai, while workshops are in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Each workshop has factory-trained engineers and technicians well equipped for on-site jobs.
