LINDEN Comansa offers what is claimed to the world’s largest flat-top crane – LC3000 Series – which has already secured buyers in some of its key markets.
The Spanish tower crane manufacturer recently showcased the innovative features of its LC3000 Series, at bauma, an international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, held in Munich, Germany, in April, where it also promoted its recent launches.
The LC3000 Series consists of the 30 LC 1100 and 30 LC 1450 models, featuring three versions each, according to their maximum load: 32, 48 and 64 tonnes.
At the show, the company unveiled two of the most characteristic sections of the LC3000 Series: the D56 mast section and the 3AM640 jib section.

The D56 mast section, which is 4 m in width and 5.5 m in height, is designed especially for the LC3000 Series and allows its cranes to reach freestanding heights up to 88.8 m. Its modular system allows this section to be expanded up to 5.4 m, by adding a panel on each side and an additional central body which ensures the stability of the section and provides space for access and platforms.
When combined with a new section called D66, it allows the cranes from the LC3000 Series to reach a freestanding height of 108 m. And thanks to its compatibility with other Linden Comansa mast sections, the D56 and the D66 allow the rest of the cranes to reach the highest freestanding heights.
Meanwhile, the 3AM640 is the jib first section of the 30 LC 1450 crane. Its large dimensions – 10 m long by 6 m high – complement the enormous power of these cranes. Nevertheless, thanks to technology that allows the upper part of the jib to be easily folded, this section fits perfectly in an open-top container, making it easy and economical to transport using conventional means, a spokesman for the company points out.
“These two innovative designs, patented by Linden Comansa, are just two examples of the numerous innovations introduced in the LC3000 Series, which maintains the essential characteristics of Linden Comansa cranes: ease of both assembly and transport, modularity of its components and Flat-Top design,” he adds.

Linden Comansa reports that it received excellent response to its participation at bauma.
One of the tallest tower cranes at the fair was Linden Comansa’s 16 LC 260 12-tonne flat-top crane, erected with a hook height of 61.6 m. This crane was acquired by the company’s official dealer in Germany and co-exhibitor at the fair, BKL Baukran Logistik.
Also exhibited at bauma was a LCL 165 eight-tonne luffing-jib crane, with a height under hook of 14.6 m, and whose next destination will be Bangkok, Thailand, where six other Linden Comansa luffers are
already working.
Linden Comansa America, has through its dealer Heede Southeast already sold the largest flat-top tower crane in North America. The 48-tonne 30 LC 1450 was sold to the Paducah-McCracken County Riverport Authority, in Kentucky.
