JOHNSON Controls, a leading company offering solutions to increase energy efficiency in buildings, has through its joint venture in Saudi Arabia been awarded a contract to supply security systems at Jeddah’s new King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) development project, Phase One.

Al Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC) has been selected to provide integrated security systems including security access control systems and video surveillance systems for the airport. The contract was signed with Innovative Contractors for Advanced Dimensions (ICAD) during the Airports Security International Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah in May.

Commenting on the award, Basil Abdulaziz, vice-president and general manager, Al Salem Johnson Controls, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon offices, says: “The airport expansion will one day serve more than 30 million passengers a year and our systems will help to keep them safe.”

ASJC is the subcontractor responsible for delivering systems, including the design, installation, testing and commissioning, integration, hand-over, warranty and maintenance.
