LIFE Solutions General Trading has combined its expertise and portfolio of some of the most renowned brands in the field to custom-build one of the most exclusive spas in the region at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.

Working closely with the client to give form to its vision, the Dubai-based firm has designed and provided the entire spa equipment for both the men’s and women’s spas and as well as the VIP spa areas of the hotel.

As the exclusive supplier, Life Solutions has installed the hammam rooms, scrub rooms, ice fountains, adventure showers, steam rooms, sauna and relaxation areas, to name a few.

“Working with the client was one of the biggest highlights of this project. We have worked very closely with the client and the operators to ensure that their standards are maintained at all times,” says Mitali Johri, director of Life Solutions.

“One of the biggest challenges for us was to ensure that the creation of the spa, based on numerous conversations we had with the client, could be completed on time and their concept would then be converted into reality,” she says.

The company has catered to the specific requirements of the project to ensure its spa is the most exclusive in the region, Johri adds.

Life Solutions commenced work on the project in January this year and completed it by the end of July.

Johri continues: “We are a part of the history and a specific aspect of the tallest hotel in the world. Life Solutions has lived up to its promise to make this a haven of well-being, relaxation, comfort and peace.”

Life Solutions General Trading was established in 2006 and since then has grown into one of Dubai’s well-known providers of fitness, spa and wellness equipment and surface systems housing some of the most coveted and eco-friendly brands in the spa and fitness industry from all over the globe.

The company offers design, supply and installation services for spas and gym equipment, providing a complete wellness solution.

“Soon after Life Solutions began operations in 2006, the market conditions began dipping and things were tough but they have now taken a turn for the better. With hard work, dedication and the continuous support from our clients we have gone from project to project successfully. We have grown from just being a steam and sauna provider to a specialised spa provider,” she says.

Johri says business over the past year has been very good and the company hopes it will continue in the same vein.
The firm has now set its sights on becoming a key player in every luxury hotel project in the UAE and beyond with its eco-friendly products.

Apart from the JW Marriott Marquis, the company has recently been associated with another hospitality project – the Rixos hotel at the Palm Jumeirah. Life Solutions designed and supplied a Rixos Royal Spa, which was completed early this year. The project, for the Al Fattan Group, was carried by SML Construction Company.

Commenting on the regional market, Johri says: “The construction sector in 2011 had feared a double dip recession, which made people tread more cautiously, but now the economy is growing and the construction market is active again. Over the years, the construction sector in the UAE has transformed from being simple and small to massive and multifaceted.”

Life Solutions is a small- to medium-sized company with a team of 12 people and a warehouse in Al Aweer. Its product portfolio includes cardio equipment from SciFit (US); strength training equipment from Gym80 (Germany); hydrotherapy equipment from Trautwein (Germany); spa and salon equipment from Helo (Germany); massage equipment from Living Earth Crafts (US); and floor surface systems from Ecore International (US) which manufactures products from used tyres and plastic pet bottles.
