THE innovative new Emac Hanger from SAS International is claimed to revolutionise the installation of suspended ceilings, by easing work on site and reducing wastage.
Providing a cost-effective alternative to galvanised angle and wire, the pre-formed Emac Hanger allows for reduced installation time as the product removes the need to snip, punch, fold or apply angle cleats, says a spokesman for the company. This in turn provides additional benefits as they are supplied ready to use with no cutting required on site.
Pre-formed and available in a number of lengths, this metal solution also reduces on-site wastage. The hanger provides quick fixing to grids or channels, offering improved accuracy on installation.
“In this current climate and with rising material costs, we are continuing our commitment to provide a value-added service,” comments Malcolm Stamper at SAS International. “We’ve launched this product in the Middle East following great success in the UK, where the solution has proved popular with helping cut installation time and ultimately improving working practice.”
By investing in new machinery, the manufacturer is able to produce more than 40 Emac hangers per minute, equating to 2,500 per hour. And, as these crucial fixtures are available direct from the Dubai Investment Park (DIP) depot, it allows for competitive prices to be passed directly to the contractor.

With a training site situated at its 15,500-sq-ft DIP site, the company enables contractors to take advantage of the technical knowledge of local SAS International staff when installing or specifying the manufacturer’s own high-quality metal ceiling systems including usage of the Emac Hanger.
Sessions can be tailored to specific requirements, Stamper says.
