PROJECT Qatar provided a unique opportunity for Egyptian waterproofing specialist Bitunil to gain access to a competitive market with major construction material firms and trade professionals. The Bitunil stand, strategically located within the Egyptian pavilion, was visited by the Egyptian ambassador in Qatar, Mohamed Fawzi Abu Donya, along with the Iraqi ambassador.

“Visitors from all over the world appreciated the quality product samples, catalogues and informative printed material, and roofing and waterproofing system design mock-ups, as well as Bitunil’s corporate video, which shed light on the development and growth the company has undergone in the past few years,” said a company spokesman.

He continued: “The show gave us hands-on experience of the needs of the Qatari market and its neighbouring countries and how to plan for serving this region.”

He said deals were signed with large construction material companies, who consider Bitunil as one of the leading manufacturers of modified bitumen waterproofing membranes in the Middle East and Africa, and trust it with private labelling of their bituminous waterproofing membranes.
