INSTALLUX, a leading international supplier of high-quality aluminium systems, has introduced two new additions to its products line-up — the Comète 50 and Comète 50TH (thermal break) fast-fitting doors.

“These two new doors feature fast-fitting hinges and thresholds that require no extra machining and can be fitted on site, dramatically reducing assembly time. In addition, our heavy-duty normal (non-fast fitting) hinges can also be fitted where heavy traffic flow demands,” says Basim Al Saie, managing director of Bahrain-based Installux Gulf, the regional office of the aluminium systems manufacturer.
Machining has also been simplified to reduce assembly time even further so that these products truly live up to their name of ‘fast fitting’, he says.
“These new doors can satisfy all needs, whether for residential, industrial or commercial buildings. The new Comète 50 fast-fitting door series is truly an improved and superior product that has better design, more features, higher safety, faster fabrication, and lower cost,” he adds.
“Installux has always sought to satisfy its customers through the supply of diversified and new innovative products that suit the consumer’s needs and demands. We embarked on a major product upgrade last year for our full range of aluminium systems with updated and improved products. Comète 50 and Comète 50TH (thermal break) fast-fitting doors are the fruits of these efforts,” says Al Saie.
Elaborating on the features of the Comète 50 door, he says: “This door system for tertiary, industrial and commercial buildings is composed of 50-mm fixed and opening frames, mitre-joined by means of crimped or screw-fastened corner cleats. Glazing thickness ranges from 5 to 34 mm. The system also allows integration of our Espace 50 range to realise various frame combinations.”
“Other features include rounded profiles, a finishing rod for frame and leaf; two- or three-legged clamp hinges with multidirectional adjusting; all height clamped lock fronts, special push-bar for electronic lock, vertical tubular push-bar; reinforced profiles for large-sized frame combinations; and fillister extension for infill up to 54 mm (fixed parts,” Al Saie says.
The Comète 50TH door, meanwhile, has the same characteristics as the Comète 50 in addition to featuring thermal-break fixed and opening frames; double rabbet gasket; thresholds; and double room gasket under bottom transom.
“All our systems offer a wide choice of accessories, allowing extensive customisation. Furthermore, this particular system also has a series of exclusive accessories. Among the options is a full range of security locks that range from simple one point locks to multi-point locks for high safety and security applications,” he says.
