With the demand for readymix concrete growing exponentially on the back of a building boom in Saudi Arabia, Al Tawi Ready Mix Concrete and Cement Products Company has plans to expand shortly into other cities in the kingdom, such as Riyadh and Rabigh, to meet the demands set by the tremendous development taking place in the region.
“We feel that the current growth rate will continue over to the next decade. We recorded a high increase in sales figures last year as we continued to win customer satisfaction for our concrete ready-mix designs and delivery services. This quick growth in turnover has encouraged us to expand our network in the kingdom,” says Saleh Al Tawi, executive manager of the company.
“We are client-oriented and our primary focus is on ensuring customer satisfaction,” he adds. “The high quality of our readymix concrete products, on-time delivery commitment, and focus on customer satisfaction has contributed to our exceptional growth and success in recent years. In addition, we possess and operate state-of-the-art technology, equipment and vehicles that enhance our performance.”
“We take pride in our reputation for providing integrated solutions to meet the demands for high-quality readymix concrete to construction sites spread throughout Saudi Arabia,” Al Tawi adds.
Al Tawi has recently added a fleet of high-tech access equipment and vehicles to enhance its services. These include a Putzmeister trailer concrete pump, with a reach of 58 m and a Putzmeister stationary pump, with a reach of 300 m and a KTI flake ice plant to control the temperature of the concrete mix, especially for high early-strength mix design and during the summer season.
The new fleet also includes a Putzmeister Pumi, which places small amounts of concrete quickly and at the lowest cost, he says. The Pumi (the name is derived from ‘pump’ and ‘mixer’) transports and mixes concrete as a standard truck mixer does, while at the construction site, it pumps and places the material like a truck-mounted concrete pump, he explains.
Al Tawi is now set to launch new Leibherr mobile batching plants, comprising wet mix fully-computerised units, which can be installed at site within three days, as well as the longest Putzmeister trailer concrete pump – at 63 m – in the region and another KTI flake ice plant, to keep pace with the latest developments in the field.
Al Tawi’s state-of-the-art plant in Jeddah utilises optimum production processes where environmental protection is a priority, with the company being committed to recycling waste concrete.
The company has contributed to the construction of some of the most complex and challenging projects in both the public and the private sectors in the kingdom.
Among its recent projects are the Al Jamarat Bridge that required concrete with a compressive strength 60 Mpa, King Abdullah underpass and bridge, King Abdulaziz University and the Al Shuaiba power plant, among others.
