Aqaar, the Ajman-based real estate and property development company, has said it is set to start work on the second phase of Ajman One.
The Dh2.7 billion ($735 million) residential, commercial and hospitality complex, will cover 72,000 sq m. Phase One, which started last year and will be completed in three years time, will have 12 freehold residential towers forming the core of the development, says a spokesman for the developer.
The construction of Phase Two, which is valued at Dh1.7 billion ($463.2 million), will consist of three office towers, a convention centre, and a four-star business hotel with serviced apartments, taking the total number of towers on site to 16.
Two of the office towers will have 27 storeys with the middle tower having 26 floors.
Not only will the offices be freehold, but they will now be regarded as being in Ajman’s free zone as well, despite being geographically separate from the official Ajman Free Zone, he says.
