Gulf Dynamic Switchgear (GDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of M’sharie, has recently won contracts totalling Dh3.2 million ($871,318) to supply low voltage distribution boards to several key developments in the UAE.
During the next five months GDS will provide, among other projects, distribution boards for the Emirates Industrial Panel Factory in Dubai Investments Park; a residential building for Al Owais in Sharjah; a commercial building in Abu Dhabi; and 10 buildings at the Al Raha development.
The products designed and manufactured by this leading electrical engineering and panel manufacturing company are commonly used in schools, hospitals, industrial complexes, shopping malls, residential buildings, office towers, maritime installations, irrigation systems and municipal services throughout the Middle East, Africa and several central Asian states, says a company spokesman.
“These high value contracts are great example of our success, as our solid reputation as market leader has been achieved by consistently delivering first-class products to the region and also ensuring rigorous quality and safety standards. We are confident that our long involvement in the market has helped us to become one of the most respected names in this industry,” says August Schmid, general manager, GDS.
“Our major investments in expanding our operations have certainly paid off as we have been able to provide high volumes of distribution boards in an exceedingly short time frame,” Schmid added.
In early 2007 GDS launched an expansion plan that witnessed investments in new production lines and larger premises in Sharjah, in a move directed at increasing the company’s production capacity by 200 per cent and further expanding into domestic and international markets.
