Making a splash ... the entrance water feature was executed by Dream Group.

Dream Group is putting its diverse portfolio of services to good use at the Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC), where it is poised to leave its hallmark of high-quality construction through a series of contracts at the prestigious development.

The Bahrain-based group has been working on five projects at the BWTC, most of which were awarded this year and are scheduled for completion this month. These include the design and construction of an aesthetic podium swimming pool and waterfall as well as the water features at the entrances to the office and mall; raised flooring in one section of the BWTC; and installation of garbage compactors in the BWTC basement.
The other two projects – which have recently been completed at the adjoining Sheraton Hotel and Commercial Complex – involved the refurbishment of the main swimming pool and the entrance water features of the hotel as well as the refurbishment of the lift lobbies and lifts in the office towers.
“With its unique architectural features, the BWTC is one of the most prestigious developments in Bahrain,” says Tim Attwood, general manager of the company.
Established in 2003, Dream Group has grown rapidly and today consists of nine companies, each specialising in a different discipline. They are:

Despite being a relatively new company, Dream Group has been maintaining a steady growth every year with last year having been the best to date. It is staffed by around 300 employees, which includes 44 Bahrainis and about 250 expatriates based at its Sitra head office.
The group attributes its success to its in-house technological strengths in designing, engineering, project execution, maintaining quality, reliability and time schedules to achieve customer satisfaction through professionalism, honesty and integrity, according to Attwood. It is working closely with world leading consultants and organisations on projects throughout Bahrain
Having achieved consistent growth and forged agreements with companies in other GCC countries, Dream Group is embarking on an aggressive expansion plan and is currently in discussions with various international partners to form alliances and joint ventures.
Once finalised all these partners will invest financially into the Dream Group and Bahrain, assisting the group to meet the growing financial demands that are part and parcel of growing concern.
The group also plans to establish new offices in the UAE and is optimistic of further growth into the next year.
“We have submitted tenders for some very exciting projects in the region and are expecting to clinch a number of orders soon,” he says.
Dream Group is currently handling contracts worth a total of approximately BD8 million ($21.2 million), including the construction of 33 luxury villas in Mahooz, scheduled for completion next year; a 12-storey luxury apartment building in Juffair, which is close to completion; a factory warehouse in Riffa; a unique equine pool; and projects at the Royal University for Women (main swimming pool) and Bahrain Defence Force (main swimming pool and therapy pool).
“We have always maintained flexibility in our vision and strategy, making it easier to adapt to the rapid advancement of technology and change in the business dynamics in today’s world. This has enabled us to maintain our growth, quality and professionalism and competitiveness,” Attwood concludes.
