Dubai-based Ostermeier has made an official foray into the Bahraini market by appointing Mohammed Fakhroo and Brothers as the sole selling agents for the company's range of products in Bahrain.
Announcing this at a seminar in Bahrain last month, Ghasan Fakhroo, general manager of Mohammed Fakhroo and Brothers, said that the move would see the company promoting Ostermeier's products further in the kingdom.
Addressing the seminar, which touched upon automatic garbage disposal systems for multi-storey apartments/buildings, hospitals and also stainless steel fabrications, Jogi Abraham of Ostermeier, Dubai, highlighted the benefits of the company's garbage chute system.
"The highlights of the stainless steel garbage chute system include: an exclusive UL-approved fire-rated (for 90 minutes) door on all intake openings, and fire shutter doors at the bottom outlet, advanced door interlocking systems, and sound dampening solutions,” he said.
The system, which is provided with fire alarms and pressurised water sprinklers, works on the simple gravity principle and can be modified with additional features.
"The system can be proposed for any high rise building, provided the design is conceived right at the beginning and all architectural provisions are considered. It has a self-cleaning mechanism, self-closing door with seal for odour control and fans provided at the vent level for continuous air recycling,” he explained.
So far Ostermeier has completed in excess of a 1,000 projects, including prestigious ones such as the Al Murooj Complex; Jumeirah Beach Residences 48-storey towers; Burj Dubai Old Town Phase 1 (eight chutes) and Phase 2 (13 chutes); Burj Dubai Old Town Commercial Island (18 chutes) and the Burj Dubai Hotel A and B (three chutes).
Currently, the company is working on projects at the Dubai Jumeirah Palms. The company has also executed several projects in Bahrain including the Sitra Shopping Mall.
