TCM claims that its improved series of 1 to 2.5 tonne electric reach trucks have gained recognition for topping its class especially as regards continuous daily operation.
“The trucks that have a more efficient motor, small low-rolling resistance tyres, and improved hydraulic efficiency contribute to a substantial reduction in electric power consumption,” says a TCM spokesman.
“Soft landing lift cylinders reduce shock and noise when forks land on the ground, allowing the trucks to attain a 65 per cent reduction in shock and 20 per cent reduction in operating noise. In addition, the truck offers excellent visibility through a widened mast that enhances visibility by as much as 15 per cent,” he adds.
Commenting on the breakthrough features of the truck, Abdullah S Al Ali, general manager of Aljomaih Equipment Company – TCM’s distributor in Saudi Arabia – says: “The truck's motorised slide-out battery compartment allows easy inspection, maintenance and replacement of the heavy-duty batteries. In addition, this electric reach truck has the fastest lifting speed of 530 mm/s without load, thus improving productivity and helping finish work faster. Add-ons within the truck such as its large LCD panel help provide real-time information, thereby ensuring safe operation and comfort to the operator. For convenience, the models also arrive with a pen tray and a large paper holder,” says Al Ali.
“Due to its emission-free electric power drive, smaller size, and excellent manouvrability in narrow aisles and spaces, the TCM electric reach truck has become the convenient choice of malls, supermarkets and other stores where pollution-fee operation is required,” says Al Ali.
Being the representative for TCM’s range of trucks and equipment in the kingdom, Aljomaih assures the availability and timely delivery of the equipment.
Apart from TCM, Aljomaih also represents Iveco, Merlo, Nardi, and Case New Holland of Italy, Claas and MTU of Germany, TCM and Tacom of Japan, Nokka-Tume of Finland, Perkins of UK, Arcusin of Spain, and US-based Valmont Industries, manufacturer of the Valley Irrigation systems.
The firm sells a wide range of generator sets and engines, wheel loaders, dozers and graders, concrete mixers, vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers, forklifts and telescopic handlers, marine container straddle carrier and telescopic spreaders, and a wide range of agricultural equipment and irrigation systems to the Saudi market.
