Following the success of last year’s show, Tuyap Fairs and Exhibition Organisation is confident that this year’s Unicera Ceramic and Bathroom Fair 2005 will once again grab the attention of ceramics manufacturers and dealers in the region as an important venue – both for the exchange of ideas and launch of new products and services.
Organised by Tuyap Fairs, the Ceramic Federation and Timder (Trade Association for Sanitary and Building Supplies), the fair will be held at Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Centre, Beylikdüzü in Istanbul, Turkey, from April 6 to 10.
“Apart from being the centre of attraction for Turkish ceramic manufacturers and having the largest profile of participants, the fair has become the leading ceramic and bathroom fair in this geographical area,” says a spokesman for the organiser.
“As a venue where important ceramic customers and producers of the Middle East, Middle Asia and the Balkans meet, the fair has a great commercial potential and it is getting to be known in other parts of the world as well,” he adds.
The Turkish ceramics industry – regarded as the world’s fifth largest producer of ceramic products and the third largest exporter – will congregate at the Unicera and display a range of products and services that include: wall tiles and ceramics, vitrified products, armatures, hydro massage bathtubs, mini bathtubs and shower cabins, sauna and jacuzzis, bathroom furniture, integrated equipment and trade publications.
“The Unicera Ceramic and Bathroom Fair 2004 was a success and witnessed the participation of 207 leading companies including representatives from nine countries and 40,305 visitors. The fair welcomed foreign visitors from 51 countries, registering an 86 per cent increase in international visitors compared to the 2003 show,” he says.
Tuyap, the leading fair organiser in Turkey, has so far served more than 50,000 companies by organising 541 domestic fairs and 70 international fairs in 25 countries and exhibitions in cooperation with more than 100 professional institutions in 50 different subjects in 25 years.
During this period, on the average Tuyap has served 12,000 exhibitors in 52 countries annually and accommodated two million visitors from 70 countries.
Elaborating on the facilities available at the venue he says: “Turkey’s largest fair and congress centre, Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Centre is designed to accommodate a unity in service for exhibitors and visitors. The centre offers a wide range of facilities, which are operated in accordance with international standards. Covering a total area of 86,000 sq m of which 52,000 sq m is indoor and 20,000 sq m outdoor space, the centre fulfils a significant requirement of Turkey and the region,” he concludes.
