Following regional and international acclaim for its Marina Towers in Beirut, Lebanon, leading developers Stow has entered into a joint venture with Solidere – the company behind the reconstruction of Beirut’s City Centre – to develop the new upscale waterfront of Beirut, a venture named Beirut Waterfront Development (BWD).

Commenting on this exceptional endeavour Farouk Kamal, executive chairman of BWD said: “L’Arc d’Or is the creation of a new dream on Beirut’s waterfront that brings together the glamour and excitement of the promenades of the world, encapsulating the culture and elegance of this historical city.”
The project includes a private area made up of highly serviced and fully fitted residential units and the exclusive Beryte Yacht Club, in addition to a variety of retail shops and restaurants, all of it spread over a usable area of 15,000 sq m. The Beryte Yacht Club will draw 800 exclusive members, and will include fitness and spa areas, in addition to swimming pools, multi-purpose rooms, and meeting rooms.
The project extends to include another 15,000 sq m of commercial space made up of retail stores and a healthy mix of fine restaurants. This section is located right on the Marina quay, encompassing open-air terraces, which offer a natural combination between the indoor spaces and the outdoor environment.
L’Arc d’Or is centrally located within the Arch engulfing the Beirut Western Marina, a pleasant walk from downtown, and off a main street that hosts a series of the most luxurious hotels and residential buildings in Beirut such as the Four Seasons Hotel, Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, Marina Towers, Beirut Tower and Platinum Tower.
“The project is brought to life through the innovative work of internationally renowned architect Steven Holl,” said Samer Bissat, assistant general manager of BWD.
The highest standards of service shall be ensured through a central management further allowing to cater to all forms of regional and international events and activities which are already in the planning.”
The final design of the project will be unveiled very soon, but one thing is already certain: L’Arc d’Or will bring Beirut back to its glamorous position as the ultimate destination for international jetsetters, he concludes.
