Ahmed Abubaker Janahi Architects, lead consultant of the Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH) project, has awarded the BD775,000 ($2.05 million) phase 1 of the BFH's land reclamation to Bahrain firm Tamdec.

Reclamation work for the Manama seafront project involves an area of around 50,000 sq m. The phase 1 includes harbour towers, harbour house and the financial mall, which is expected to be complete by mid-September.
The overall $1 billion project is moving ahead from the design phase to construction work. Inquiries from many international companies interested in investing in the project are being received. Work procedures are being implemented on schedule.
Seven Bahrain and international companies had submitted tenders for land reclamation work. The companies were Boskalis Westminster Middle East, Al Hassanain Company, Ahmed Mansoor Al A'Ali Company, Gulf Cobla, Tamdec, A A Nass Contracting Company and Alwardi.
