French architect Jean Nouvel's project has been selected, from among six offers submitted by international companies specialising in architecture and landscaping, to develop the Doha Corniche.

The project is coordinated by the Agha Khan Secretariat for Culture and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Heritage.
The Jean Nouvel project is based on a 'Creation of Identity' concept that would make Doha unique among other Gulf cities.
