A new industrial consultancy firm has launched operations in Bahrain in a bid to serve the growing need for specialised advice and technical support to the precast concrete industry.

Building Precast Industrial Consultancy (BPIC) specialises in precast and erection of concrete products, provides technical assistance all along the different stages of the investment or production at the plant or at site.
The firm was established at the end of May to provide a service that is new in the region, provided by a professional team of engineers, and technicians well-experienced in precast production and organisation.
The BPIC partners and team come with years of experience in the European market, first-hand knowledge of the best and latest equipment available there, and with years of experience in the operations in the Gulf area.
From its Bahrain base, the company intends to provide assistance to precast companies, contractors and consultants in the entire Gulf region.
'We can provide consultancy services on all aspects of the precast concrete production process, from starting up a new line of production to checking productivity, cost control and preparation and all procedures leading to the ISO certification,' says Jean Paul Sourd, managing director. 'We can take the pressure off people in the industry by providing advice and a new perspective on the job.
'BPIC can help contractors, in case of any requirement or any emergency, if they need to produce precast concrete products. On the other hand, BPIC can also provide better coordination between contractors and their precast manufacturers.
'We can assist consultants and architects in the design of precast concrete projects.
'BPIC can also conduct studies on projects like industrial engineering, production organisation, quality control and safety organisation, specifications and procedures.'
Elaborating on the choice of Bahrain as BPIC's base, Sourd says: 'Bahrain is strategically located in the centre of the Gulf, from where we can easily serve markets extending from Iraq in the north to Oman in the south.
'We have a network of experts who can source equipments and services for the long or short-term requirements of the region,' he adds.
Already, BPIC is in negotiations for projects in the UAE and Bahrain.
'The precast concrete market is booming with a large number of projects under way in the area,' says Sourd. 'And we are confident that we can provide a service that is new and timely in the Gulf.'
