The project calls for 12,000 door-sets.

Massive volumes of woodwork and joinery are going into fitting out the six towers and 64 villas that make up the North and South sections of the Dubai Marina Phase 1 development.

Leader (formerly Leader Furniture and Joinery Craftsmen), as the main joinery contractor for the Dubai Marina project, is responsible for supplying and installing all the wooden doors, frames and architraves, wardrobes, vanities, mirrors, external joinery works, and associated metal works for the North and South sections.
The scale of this huge project can be gauged by the quantities of the individual items involved, says a spokesman for the Dubai-based company. The scope of work for woodwork and joinery covers the supply and installation of around: 12,000 door sets, 5,600 wardrobe sets, 3,000 vanities and a similar number of mirrors of different  sizes, all the external woodwork and joinery works, trellis, counters and associated metal works.
"The work on this very demanding project is currently in progress and is expected to be completed on schedule," says the spokesman. "The outstanding workmanship and the fine quality of materials speak for themselves on the project."
Leader says it is one of the most modern and sophisticated ISO 9002-accredited joinery and carpentry companies in the region. The company is a member of the Juma Al Majid group and has built upon the group's reputation for reliability and efficient service.
It was formed in 1994 to establish a world-class joinery and carpentry company in the UAE to cater to the various needs of the discerning and quality-conscious clientele of the Middle East.
"Since its formation, the company has grown several fold under the able management of the Juma Al Majid Group and has served the people of the Middle East to their enitre satisfaction," the spokesman says. "Its numerous and varied, successfully completed projects are ample proof of this."
Leader is currently involved with many other prestigious projects, executing fit-out, interiors, carpentry and joinery works, which involve quality wooden doors, windows, wardrobes, bedroom units, kitchen cabinets, vanity units, all kinds of home, office and institutional furniture, interior decorations, and hotel fit-outs.
The company, he says, has major development plans to further its growth in this field.
