Whirlpool Home Appliances, whose built-in appliances were supplied by its UAE distributor Al Ghandi Electronics to the Dubai Marina project Phase 1, has come a long way since it pioneered an automated wringer-style clothes washer more than 75 years ago.

Whirlpool's new built-in range - ovens, hobs, hoods, and dishwashers - embody the essence of style and the very latest design values, says an Al Ghandi spokesman.
He says: "The built-in range is available in three styles, each with a distinctive look and feel. The Neutral design has classic, muted lines designed to blend discreetly with the kitchen environment. The 3D design, featuring ovens and hobs with rounded curves and ovens with full metal doors and hidden handles, is both elegant and distinguished. The Premium design is minimalistic in feel but with strong character, riding as it does the fusion design trend and combining stainless steel, aluminium and glass into an integrated, graceful setting for Whirlpool's advanced yet easy-to-use kitchen technology.
"Central to the built-in ovens are the electronics which manage the cooking process, ensuring a greater consistency of temperature throughout the cooking. In short, the oven cooks with increased predictability and precision, delivering excellent cooking results, every time."
Whirlpool's built-in hobs and hoods are available in all designs and come in a range of materials including stainless steel, smoked glass and aluminium.
The spokesman says every aspect of the traditional hob has been rethought to offer more choices and greater safety. The control display is arranged to make it easier for the user to select a burner. One movement turns the gas supply on and ignites it. If this fails, an alarm sounds. If a saucepan boils over, the gas is automatically shut off. Electronics deliver a consistent gas flow even at the lowest setting.
Whirlpool's new built-in dishwasher comes in Premium and 3D designs. These dishwashers, featuring Whirlpool's new 6th Sense technology, use sensors to assess how dirty a load is, and then select a wash identity as appropriate, monitoring the wash until the load is clean, at which point the cycle is ended. When compared to conventional dishwashers, it is said to save up to 30 per cent energy and water.
Al Ghandi Electronics has won many prestigious projects in Dubai, which it says is testimony to the quality of Whirlpool built-in appliances. Among the projects are luxurious residential towers and complexes, offices and villas. It maintains a complete service centre in Dubai.
