Also on its list of ongoing projects is the 45-storey hotel tower for Shaikh Ahmed Al Maktoum. At Dh2.5 million, it is Blue Sky's second biggest project in value. It has been contracted to do electrical and plumbing work there.
Established in 1996, the Dubai-based company was founded by Iqbal Shahul Hameed and is already well known in the contracting and subcontracting business. It has so far completed MEP projects worth Dh9.74 million and has ongoing projects valued at Dh11.77 million, which the company's spokesman notes is a major achievement.
Hameed, managing partner, who has more than 20 years of experience in the electrical field, is concentrating on the Dubai Marina project and more recently on the Shaikh Maktoum Hotel Complex.
The company has handled medium and large-sized projects such as multistorey commercial/residential buildings, five-star hotels, shopping malls, royal palaces, power stations, telephone exchanges and mosques among others.

It is undertaking air conditioning for the Jebel Ali K Power and Desalination Station, the Rashid School and Dubai Port Authority. The Emirates Airline project involves electrical work while at the Dubai Convention Centre it will be involved in ducting and piping.
Blue Sky has successfully completed projects including the Marriott Hotel extension, the Chevrolet car showroom, a polythene factory, the Dubai Media City Phase 2, Le Royal Meridien, Manar Mall at Ras Al Khaimah and Mega Mall.
"The company was founded at a time when economic growth and real estate development were at their peak in the UAE, particularly in Dubai. After more than five years of experience and expansions, the same professionalism and skills that built our reputation still remain intact," a Blue Sky spokesman says.
"We are particularly keen to develop and retain relations with our clients in the interests of both the client and the company," remarks the spokesman. Clients that have remained with Blue Sky for a long time include ETA, FNC, Bilt and IEMSCO, which, the spokesman says, is an example of good client-company relationship.
The company's senior officials are among the most experienced in the business.
The spokesman comments: "All our supervisors and foremen are technically qualified with good experience. They are dedicated and excellent in their work. We have the best people in frontline operations for executing projects.
''We now have more than 100 employees and our labour turnover is very low when compared to others in the industry. Good prospects, better opportunities, good living conditions and excellent perks keep worker morale high and show the company is financially sound."
