Hotel Show pays off

Exhibitors have reported business gains worth million of dollars from the Middle East's leading hotel supplies exhibitions held in Dubai, UAE.

More than 3,000 visitors, largely consisting of hotel owners, developers, and operators, were drawn to Airport Expo Dubai for The Hotel Show, which was held last month.

Among the biggest winners were Siemens Building Technologies, which expects to secure hotel contracts worth Dh15 million ($4.08 million) for computer-aided facility management systems as a result of its appearance at The Hotel Show, and Dubai-based framers and fine art print distributors, Four Seasons, which hopes to sign 50 contracts on the strength of its show debut.

Hi-tech business solutions company Siemens Building Technologies says the Dh 15 million worth of new business it expects the exhibition to have generated backs up its supply of computer-aided facility management systems for several leading hotels.

UAE-based Atra International which launched Guestlink Global, the latest generation of hotel interactive TV systems, secured contracts with Middle East hotels and hotel operators.
