More shops and Bahrain's biggest cineplex will be open soon as part of the Seef Mall's new seven-storey East Mall car-park.

The car-park, which has been built on a 30,000 sq m area between Seef Mall and the Al A'ali Complex, will open in June.

It is connected to the main mall and its ground floor will feature 20 jewellery and fashion accessories retail shops, while the top five floors will provide parking space for 650 cars.

Seef Properties assistant general manager and centres manager Maher Al Shaer said there will also be a 1,700 sq m exhibition centre for special in-house projects, as well as for outside promotional events.

The East Mall car-park's first floor will feature a 10-screen movie theatre, which will be managed by the Bahrain Cinema Company (BCC).

Seef Mall Cineplex East will have a total seating capacity of 1,600 and will be the largest cinema hall in Bahrain, said BCC general manager Ahmed Rashed.

Meanwhile, the 17-storey Seef Tower, located north of the mall at the main entrance, will open in August.

The tower will have three high-speed lifts and a reserved 200-space shaded car-park.
