Amaala’s Triple Bay Marina Village, Wellness Core and resorts are nearing completion.

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the regenerative tourism destinations Amaala and The Red Sea, has announced significant advancements in the construction of Amaala – a luxury wellness destination on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia – where more than 600 contracts worth nearly SR23 billion ($6.13 billion) have been awarded.

These contracts have been awarded to world-leading partners including Al Rawabi Hassan Allam, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Depa Group, Alec Engineering and Contracting, Havelock One and Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company.

Amaala has reached key procurement and construction milestones, with Triple Bay Marina Village, Wellness Core and luxury resorts moving toward completion, and first guests expected in 2025, said RSG. Key areas of Amaala nearing completion include:

•   Triple Bay Marina Village: The Equinox Resort is fully topped out, and construction on the Village Boutique Hotel, condos, and villas is nearing completion;

•   The Marina: Flooding of the marina basin was completed at the end of 2023, and contracts for the floating pontoons and fixed decks have been awarded.

•   Amaala Yacht Club: Construction is well under way, with concrete works nearing completion and structural steel and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works initiated.

•   Corallium: The marine life institute’s steel and façade works are progressing rapidly, with the distinctive reef-inspired building taking shape.

•   Wellness Core: Construction is under way on 80 per cent of the 220 buildings, including wellness resorts like Jayasom and Clinique La Prairie.

•   Triple Bay Central: Renowned partner resorts and residences, including Rosewood and Six Senses, are well on track to open their doors in 2025, surpassing the two-thirds complete milestone. At Four Seasons, the landscaping, MEP and façade works are under way.

•   Ocean Golf Course: Amaala will feature three, nine-hole golf courses, plus a further nine-hole executive par 3 course. Phase One of development, which will total 18 holes, is proceeding well, with all major works complete for three holes, and the remaining 15 holes under way.

•   Primary infrastructure: Works are nearing completion, including on 35 km of internal roads and essential utilities. RSG is targeting to energize in December.

•   Public realm and landscaping: RSG aims to plant three million plants and trees by the end of the year.
