New restaurant to open

Sheraton Dubai Hotel & Towers in Dubai, UAE is set to open its new Italian restaurant on the Creek this month.

Named Vivaldi, after one of the most famous composers, the restaurant design will be themed on 18th century Venetian villas.

The restaurant development, which represents an investment of over $1 million, includes two terraces seating 68 in total, which overlook the Creek. The restaurant itself will set a 100 while the adjacent bar will seat 30, according to James Munro, general manager Sheraton Dubai Hotel & Towers.

The interior design of Vivaldi is being carried out by Wrenn Associates of Dubai.

The design also incorporates Venetian-style flanked porticos and columned porches which frame Creek views, while the design of the terrace is closely integrated with that of the interior.

The restaurant, and its adjoining bar, will be variedly furnished in classical and contemporary style.

The launch of Vivaldi marks the second renovation phase for the 255-roomed Dubai landmark hotel, which has been undergoing controlled and phased renovation for the past two and a half years.

Further improvements due in the next two years include, lobby refurbishment, the upgrading and relocation of the Ashiana Indian restaurant, the addition of a new conference centre and the renovation of the hotel's exterior, according to Munro.
