Tile manufacturing technologies ... on RAK Ceramics’ agenda.

RAK Ceramics, the world’s largest ceramic tiles and bathware manufacturing company, said it will be partnering with top design houses in Europe to reinforce the company’s in-house team of designers based in Ras Al Khaimah, Spain, Italy, France and the UK.

RAK Ceramics also said it is continuing to aggressively invest in modern tile manufacturing technologies and in-depth research programmes to better understand customer habits, lifestyle tastes, colour preferences, social patterns, as well as geographical locations, climatic conditions and other crucial factors that are critical in designing new products.

“Employing in-house designers and consultants from Italy, Spain, France and the UK is particularly crucial in conceptualising and implementing new product designs and effects as Italian and Spanish designs are greatly in demand worldwide,” said a spokesman for the company.

RAK Ceramics has already introduced several premium-class products inspired by Italian and Spanish designs such as the Stone Art, Orion and the Top Class collections.

RAK Ceramics’ deputy CEO Abdallah Massaad said: “Our in-house designers are regularly in touch with our consultants from all over Europe, particularly in Italy and Spain, which are the best places to look for new designs and technology. RAK Ceramics’ collaboration with Italian and Spanish design houses has been very successful as the designs that we have introduced have become trend-setters and received excellent response from our customers worldwide. We will continue to build on our strategic relations with renowned design houses as part of a long-term strategy to reinforce RAK Ceramics’ stronghold of the global market.”
