BAHRAIN’S Airtech says it is proud to have participated in the construction of the prestigious King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) by supplying and installing duct and ducts accessories.

The company manufactures and installs HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) ducts and associated accessories such as volume control dampers (VCDs), non-return dampers (NRDs), fire dampers (FDs) and access doors using the latest CNC (computer numeric control) fabrication technology.

“Airtech uses innovative CNC technology for the fabrication of ducts and accessories to provide top-quality products,” says Ivan Thomas, general manager.

He continues: “The company has successfully completed several landmark projects such as King Hamad University Hospital, Arcapita headquarters, the Bahrain World Trade Centre, Bahrain City Centre mall, the Bahrain Mall, Moda Mall, Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, and the Novotel and Movenpick hotels. Each project completed has given us more confidence to meet new challenges.”

As a leading manufacturer and installer of HVAC ducts and accessories in Bahrain and state-of-the-art machinery for fabrication, Airtech has always been in the preferential list of MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) contractors, says Thomas.

“As a one-stop destination for HVAC ducts and accessories, MEP contractors are relieved from the headache of delayed deliveries and quality. Also, the materials used by Airtech conform to various standards of consultants such as DW144 and Smacna,” he adds.

Thomas ... to unveil new products.

Recently, Airtech moved to a new and spacious factory premises covering an area of 7,500 sq m at Bahrain International Investment Park as a part of its expansion programme to meet increased customer demand. The new facility has more than doubled its capacity from 10,000 sq m to 25,000 sq m of ducting per month.

“The encouraging feedback from our customers has spurred the management to go in for further expansions and we will shortly unveil more products for HVAC distribution systems,” says Thomas. “Airtech has also expanded into trading and we are now the official distributor for Trend/Honey-well products.”

As the global economy recovers from the recession, Thomas says the company is ready to take up the challenges that come with the recovery such as increased customer demand, the need for fast-track deliveries and a renewed focus on quality products.

Thomas adds that Airtech’s new facilities in Bahrain will act as a base for its future development across the Middle East.
