MSCEB and First Bahrain officials at the signing ceremony.

FIRST Bahrain has appointed architecture and engineering firm Mohamed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau (MSCEB) as designer of the second phase of Majaal, its flagship warehousing and logistic project.

The signing follows First Bahrain’s significant progress made in the leasing and successful operation of Phase One of this industrial development, which is focused on small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

“Collaborating with Bahrain’s leading architectural firm MSCEB, we are glad to announce the commencement of Phase Two of Majaal,” said Amin Al Arrayed, general manager of First Bahrain, an innovative regional real estate developer.
“With this collaboration, we are ready to move onto the next step to ensure the growth of our current and prospective partners and the SME industry at large.”

MSCEB, a full-service, interdisciplinary architecture and engineering design firm, has been directly involved in key developments on the island including the Bahrain City Centre mall.

Sushil Kher, executive director of MSCEB, said: “Over the past four decades, MSCEB has played a significant role in the growth, planning and design of the kingdom’s strategic buildings and infrastructure.”

Opened in 2008 at the Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW) within the Salman Industrial City, First Bahrain’s Majaal warehouse development presently offers 130,000 sq ft of secure, flexible and cost-effective industrial work space.
Phase Two will more than double the leasable space on offer, increasing the size of the development to over 280,000 sq ft of built-up area. The new facilities will offer higher ceilings for increased storage capacity and raised flooring for easy loading and off-loading of large trucks.
