THE Belgium-based Besix Group is now celebrating 100 years of experience and innovation in construction of large and complex buildings, marine works, infrastructure and environmental projects around the world.

An event was held recently to mark the milestone at the Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, which was attended by company officials, local dignitaries and the Duke and Duchess of Brabant, Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.
The group has been a driving force in the development of a number of high-profile structures in the UAE, including the Abu Dhabi Corniche, Bainunah Tower, The Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace, Emirates Towers Hotel, Burj Dubai and Yas Island.
“We thrive on developing structures that are unique and innovative, and the UAE has enabled us to work on some truly pioneering projects,” said Johan Beerlandt, CEO, Besix.
