The transformed hall ... magnificent.

ABU DHABI National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) has completed the transformation of its 7,920-sq-m multi-purpose Hall 12 into the UAE’s largest indoor auditorium with 5,700-seating capacity.

Installation of the fully-automated retractable tiered seating system completed the project to turn the hall into one of the most flexible event spaces in the world.
Hall 12, which will still be used as an exhibition and wedding hall, can now also host a range of live events including sports events, concerts, other entertainment events, in a fully air-conditioned environment.
At the touch of a button, the tiered seating system unfolds 23 rows of high-specification seating finished with black fabric and ice-birch veneer. Additional acoustic panels, moveable partitions, matching tiered mobile units and flat-floor VVIP, VIP and multi-use seats complete the 5,700 seater venue.
Ali Saeed bin Harmal, managing director, Adnec, said: “The transformation of Hall 12 is a special date for Adnec and for Abu Dhabi. The capital now boasts the country’s largest indoor events auditorium and we look forward to an exciting range of events which we will host in the future.”
Japanese company Kotobuki supplied the custom designed seating system.
Adnec is the Gulf’s largest exhibition centre with 73,000 sq m of event space. It stages over 100 events every year and welcomes over 1.8 million people annually.
