tHE UK-based Fibercill has launched 30-minute fire-rated doorkits, which meets the need for increased safety in public buildings and for greater compliance to fire regulations.

The new doorkits have been developed with its parent company and other suppliers, keeping in view that it can be expensive and time-consuming for contractors to source everything they need.
Every kit comes complete with a factory-prepared door, door frames and linings, hinges, jamb, door stop, latch or lock and even intumescent. As everything is factory produced for consistent and reliable quality, a great finish can be achieved even in difficult climates and conditions, according to the company.
“We have been working with contractors and joinery companies in the Gulf for years, so we understand their problems,” says Steve Parker, a spokesman for Fibercill. “Our 30-minute fire-rated doorkits are Certifire approved, which means that they no longer have to worry about coordinating all the materials from different sources or fitting to meet the regulations on site. They can just make their openings to agreed sizes and then fit the entire doorkits in place. This should only take 20 to 25 minutes.”
Fibercill has even developed its own special ‘non-handed’ hinges which mean that doors can fitted for any opening.
“Obviously, there are some constraints in order for us to comply with the Certifire testing and certification. We only have door lining thicknesses of between 77 and 159 mm and currently only offer five finishes, but more can be added soon. In any case, they can simply be stained or painted to create a fabulous appearance. We would love to work with even more companies soon,” he adds.
