The Legrand Group, which was making its debut at gulfBID, announced that it has keen plans for Bahrain, which will eventually include opening a full-fledged office in the country next year.
The company was at the show to demonstrate the strength of the Legrand Group and create awareness of the vast range of products that are produced by the group, which includes cable management, information network systems and computer networks, among others, according to Nicolas Hobeilah, marketing manager.
“While there is awareness of our products in Saudi Arabia and the UAE – where we have our offices – to most people in Bahrain, Legrand means switches and sockets,” he pointed out.
At gulfBID, the company promoted the four leading brands under the Legrand umbrella which, apart from the Legrand, includes Ortronics a global leader in high-performance structured cabling solutions; Cablofil, welded wire cable trays for cable networks; and bticino, which offers high-end switches and sockets in solid ceramic and wood finishes.
“We want to impress that we are here to serve the local requirements and reassure our customers of our commitment to the market,” Hobeilah added.
To indicate that it means business, Legrand has appointed Rami Abdelrazeq as its Bahrain-based project sales engineer.
Among the new products promoted at the show were the Mallia range of wiring devices and Galea Life switches.
Legrand is a world specialist in products and systems for electrical installations and information networks in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Operating in more than 60 countries with sales of $4.9 billion, Legrand employs approximately 33,000 people, and its catalogues include more than 130,000 products.
At Legrand, innovation drives growth: with nearly five per cent of sales invested in research and development (R&D) every year, the group brings out a steady stream of new, high added-value products.
Legrand has been active in the Middle East for more than three decades and established its regional head office in Jeddah some 20 years ago.
