The Signature ... contemporary living.

Following the announcement of the world’s first fully turning timepiece skyscraper – Time Residences – in November 2006, Glenn Howells, the celebrated concept and design architect behind this unique living experience, has unveiled the interior living concepts for the eco-friendly buildings.

Construction of the Time Residences is expected to start next month and will be completed in early 2009.
The 30-floor mega structure, located in the heart of Dubai’s iconic City of Arabia development, part of the breathtaking Dubailand project, Time Residences turns like a time piece. It makes a 360-degree turn once in seven days powered by the sun offering panoramic views of waters and beautiful landscapes. The very slow tuning motion offers a “new dimension to living” and provides premium views to all.
Time Residences will house 200 one- to four-bedroom apartments, each of which will be designed according to one of the following three styles: The Timeless – white, pure and ageless; The Signature – lifestyle rich and contemporary living; The Empress royal suite.
The white Timeless Triplex Penthouse with private 7-m swimming pool, spa, bar, sauna, steam and cinema is designed not to age.
Howells, director of Glenn Howells Architects comments: “The Time Residences has an eco-friendly sustainable design using solar power to revolve the cylindrical form and recycling water to irrigate the landscaped gardens.
“Our designs for the unique segment-shaped apartments maximise external awareness and provide panoramic views for residents. This introduces a revolutionary way of living in Dubai by providing cool, calm, luxurious spaces that open up through use of sliding screens to offer unparalleled levels of flexible space and views of the city through floor to ceiling glazing.”
Tav Singh, director of Dubai Property Ring, the developer of the building, is convinced that this signature development will redefine the art of interior decoration and luxury living in the region. He said: “We didn’t want to build just another building or tower; we wanted to create something unique and precious, not just on the outside but inside also.”
