With ground space at construction sites at a premium these days, builders are finding it difficult to park the traditional hammer head-type cranes – and this is where Raimondi’s luffing jib crane comes handy.

Not only can it be parked inside the building, but it also saves air space on the top of the building, says a spokesman for its Dubai-based agent Al Bakhit Constuction Company.
The first of the newly-developed Raimondi luffing cranes has been delivered to Dubai and is on display at the Al Bakhit Construction Equipment facility in Al Quoz Industrial Area situated close to Emirates Shopping Mall.
The crane is designed for easy erection and operation and is ideal for working in restricted sites where buildings are in close proximity. Available in external self-climbing or internal self climbing models. The crane has a superbly designed air-conditioned cabin with unrestricted under-floor vision for the operator.
“On the erection side, Raimondi has few rivals. The secret is in the design and production methods. Sections are pre-assembled in the factory in order to simplify the erection and offer quick assembly at site.
“This includes the counter jib which is made of a unique block. The connection of tower elements by large-diameter tensile bolts gives the tower its rigidity and at the same time assures easy dismantling.
“By locating the working platform inside the tower, Raimondi has reduced the safety risks, as all operations are carried out from inside the structure,” he adds.
