Building on its 18 years of presence in the region, US-headquartered irrigation equipment manufacturer Hunter Industries has successfully added yet another prestigious project in Dubai to its already impressive portfolio.

The lush, finely-manicured landscape in which the luxurious Park Hyatt Hotel and Resort is set in is further evidence of Hunter Industries’ long-standing commitment to producing high-quality, reliable irrigation products, says Hanna Zaidan, Hunter’s regional manager.
Hunter’s equipment was once again selected for this new resort, thanks to the quality of its products and its variety of systems, he adds.
The new waterfront retreat, nestled within the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, includes luxury residential villas and a marina that are close to the city centre and main business district.
“Along with its partner companies, Hunter has long been playing a vital role in creating and sustaining beautiful landscapes under what can only be described as challenging climatic and soil conditions,” Zaidan points out. “Engineering irrigation products to nurture a lush landscape in one of the most demanding climates of the world is only part of a successful irrigation project. Every product must be designed with extreme efficiency to make the most of the area’s valuable water resources, while delivering dependable performance day in and day out. Nowhere is this more critical than in the UAE where landscaping expectations demand the very best.”
In order to maintain an optimal system design and a high level of installation expertise, the company worked closely with MEAC – Hunter’s UAE distributor – while Dubai-based Desert Landscape Company was selected for the installation work.

“A high-profile project such as the Park Hyatt is all about communicating luxury and elegance to guests at every turn, and the appearance of the landscaping and grounds is very important,” Zaidan adds.
A wide selection of high-performance products was used for the recently-opened Park Hyatt project.
To cover an approximate area of 40,000 sq m, more than 1,000 pressure-regulated institutional sprays have been installed for maximum water efficiency. The system also included includes about 200 PGP pop-up rotary sprinklers, a revolutionary product that put Hunter on the map 25 years ago, Zaidan indicates.
The resort’s carefully calculated watering schedule is controlled by two of Hunter’s modular ICC commercial-grade controllers, which are fully expandable to 32 stations each, weather-based programming and remote central control. Completing the system are about 45 HBV self-cleaning brass valves that are designed to handle extreme conditions.
