Having started off its business in Bahrain a year ago, leading manufacturer of aluminium composite systems Falcon Industries, has last month extended its reach into the far and near markets of the region through concluding agency agreements.
The company has concluded agency agreements in the markets of Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Sudan, Morocco, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
“The Saudi Arabian market has proved good for us and we have received potentially strong orders from major players in that region. Our supplies have been prompt and perfect and we are maintaining excellent after sales follow-up with our existing client base,” says marketing manager, Anwar Hussain.
“We have also had a memorandum of understanding with various marketing agencies/liaison representatives for Eastern Europe, North Africa, Pakistan and India. We have as well initiated proceedings to open a marketing office in Turkey to cater Eastern Europe and Russia.
He continues: “The company is also seriously negotiating with leading players in the Syria, Jordan, and Qatar. Most importantly, we had initiated business in the potentially strong UAE market with some good supplies to leading aluminium contractors.
“We are having an excellent response from all around the region. This is the result of continued marketing efforts we have been exerting for the past couple of months. We look forward to maintain quality and commitment to our customers so as to have continued and long term business relationship with them,” he adds.
The composite panels are manufactured using South Korean technology – originally derived from Germany – with raw materials such as aluminium coils being procured from local manufacturer Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (Garmco). The adhesive polyethylene (PE) infill is procured from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The manufacturing process involves the coating of aluminium coils with PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride)-based resin on the exposed surface and a polyester coating on the underside prior to the fabrication of the panels.
Alpobond is environmental-friendly as it can be recycled; it is resistant to humidity, chemicals and saline environment, which is commonplace in coastal areas. The panels also provide thermal and sound insulation, while dampening vibration and can also be manufactured to be flame-retardant.
“From the client’s point of view, Alpobond can help reduce the superstructure costs if considered at the design stage, as it is lighter in weight and imposes less load on the structure than many other cladding materials. In addition, maintenance is easy as the panels can be cleaned with a water jet,” he says.
Besides cladding of buildings, Alpobond can also be used to clad columns, partitions, canopies, soffits, escalators, elevators, and for signage.
