The partnership of Dubai-based Ahmed Ramadhan Juma Establishment (ARJ) and Italian pump manufacturer Lowara has come a long way as the duo have been busy providing innovative solutions in pumping technology at some of the tallest and largest buildings in the Gulf.
ARJ is the authorised dealer for Lowara in the entire Middle East.
ARJ has put the expertise of its fluid technology division and its wide distribution network in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi markets at Lowara’s disposal to further boost its presence in the region.
Through a goal-oriented approach, ARJ has succeeded in establishing a reputation of being a reliable and trustworthy business house. The company is present all over the GCC and as project and technical sales consultant, offers semi-project design and complete turnkey solutions for diverse applications whether it is in agriculture, building services, industrial units, construction or garage industry.
“Since its establishment in 1976, ARJ has focused on providing solutions, instead of just selling products,” says Shahab Juma, general manager, ARJ. “This is the reason why we have a partnership with Lowara. Their top-of-the-line products and our expertise in fluid technology have helped us provide the right products and solutions for a diverse range of pumping problems.”
Lowara’s advanced units have recently helped resolve the persistent discoloration problems at the Emirates Towers, caused by galvanic action between the pump sets and the system pipe work. Lowara’s high-efficiency vertical multi-stage units were selected as it is the only manufacturer to provide DPS units with large enough capacity in 316 stainless steel range that could satisfy the overall rate requirement of the biggest set. In addition, factors such as quietness, efficiency, sound reputation, reliability and representation in geographical region also made Lowara the obvious choice for Emirates Towers project.
In addition, Lowara was involved in setting up a perfect stage for Bahrain Grand Prix FIA Formula One World Championship, held earlier in the year. The scope of work included the installation of a pumping system for the stands, racetrack, the nine-storey VIP tower, technical resource centre, media centre for 500 journalists and also the dedicated buildings for participating teams. For the project, Lowara provided its multi-stage range for pressure booster sets that are regulated with variable speed drives using Hydrovar drives. In addition, it also provided pump packages including the mains water, fire hose reel and sprinkler sets and sewage pumps lifting stations.
Lowara has also provided pumping solutions at the recently-concluded Athens 2004 Olympic Games by providing fresh water to the Olympic complex. Its variable-speed water booster pumps have pumped water to the stadiums and building in the Olympic village. With its Hydrovar technology, Lowara has provided pumps that change speeds to match the system requirements – thereby saving on energy, he says.
“This long-standing partnership has resolved many complex fluid flow problems on high-rise buildings, commercial and residential projects. The combination of the expertise of ARJ’s fluid technology division and reliable products from Lowara has resulted in lasting solutions and customer satisfaction,” concludes Juma.
