Following successful launches in Bahrain and Qatar last year, Union Architectural Hardware has opened two further Union Design Centres (UDCs) with its partners in Oman and Kuwait.
In Oman, the firm has established the centre in collaboration with Khimji Ramdas at its showroom at Bait Al Ahlam. The UDC has been set up similar to its facilities existing elsewhere. Show boards don the latest products of the firm and a spacious meeting area allows it to hold seminars for the architects, consultants and contractors.
Robert Vos, regional manager Union Architectural Hardware Middle East says: “Clearly Oman is ready for higher security and improved specifications; the feedback we received after the launch was overwhelming. Already, we have received requests to hold additional seminars on security hardware by several very important professional end users.”
Hasawi & Sabano also opened its doors to the professional end user market in Kuwait by launching the UDC concept. The showroom and offices in Shuwaikh have been transformed into a dazzling UDC, says Vos.
“The UDC concept has been well introduced and it has enabled Union to be positioned as a brand that can fill a complete specification,” says Vos.
In addition, the UDCs are known for the after-sales service they provide and they have the support from the Jebel Ali-based Union Middle East Office. Here Union carries a strong inventory with its GCC partner, Abdulaziz & Sa’ad Almoajil in Jebel Ali. “Having stocks in the region is of great importance to servicing the construction as well as the trade industry,” Vos mentioned.
Union will hold its first Middle East Design Centre Conference in Cairo shortly, combined with the official UDC launch in Egypt, where already Union Architectural Hardware booked several successes with its Egyptian partner, Business Communication Services.
During the conference several new Union products will be introduced that have been developed to suit the special specification needs in the Middle East.
